Listed Building Conversion Fareham

Listed Building Conversion Fareham

Conversion of a Grade II Listed Building from commercial use to residential.

The building has a Georgian façade, although the timber structure behind is Medieval. The early date of this building as well as "Chives House" to the right hand side make them a rare survival and of considerable Architectural and Historic interest, a medieval crown post roof is a particularly rare feature in Hampshire houses of this time.

The timber roof truss has been dated using Dendrochronology to sometime between 1279 and 1311 and is one of the oldest surviving domestic timber frames in England.
